Bellator 25 is scheduled for Aug. 19 at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago. Meanwhile, Bellator 26 takes place Aug. 26 at the Kansas City Power & Light District in Kansas City, Mo.

Blackburn had been expected to fight under the Tachi Palace Fights banner earlier this month against John Alessio, but an injury forced “Bad” Brad to withdraw from the card. Now healed up, Blackburn looks to snap a two-fight losing streak following back-to-back losses to DaMarques Johnson and Amir Sadollah.

Meanwhile, Hornbuckle returns to action in the non-tournament contest for his first appearance since dropping a unanimous decision to Ben Askren in the finals of Bellator’s season-two welterweight tourney. The loss snapped a streak of six-straight stoppage victories.

Daly makes her Bellator debut after racking up nine straight wins in Europe, including her native Ireland. Only her most recent fight (a decision win over Maiju Kujala) went the distance. She puts her perfect record on the line against Ward, a six-year vet who most recently topped Stephanie Frausto (Zoila’s sister) at Bellator 22 in June.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned from sources close to the promotion that Harris (17-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has verbally agreed to replace Rivera and now faces Alessio Sakara (15-7 MMA, 6-4 UFC) at UFC 118. Bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.

Featuring a lightweight title rematch between current champion Frankie Edgar and former title holder B.J. Penn, UFC 118 takes place Aug. 28 at Boston’s TD Garden.

Harris fights for the fourth time in 2010. After debuting for the UFC with a “Knockout of the Night” win over John Salter in January, Harris has since earned victories over Mario Miranda and Dave Branch. The slam finish of Branch earlier this month earned Harris the evening’s “Knockout of the Night” and was also featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter as one of the evening’s “top plays.”

Harris, who was eliminate as a contestant on “The Ultimate Fighter 7″ by eventual show winner Amir Sadollah, now has 10-straight wins overall.

Sakara seeks his fourth-straight win. After battling through a rough 1-3 stretch in the UFC in 2007, Sakara has scored knockout wins over Joe Vedepo and James Irvin and a split-decision victory over Thales Leites.

Sakara had been expected to face Nate Marquardt at UFC 116, but the Italian was forced to withdraw after the passing of his father.

Rivera, who was forced to withdraw from the matchup due to a broken arm, hopea to return to action in September or October.

The Rivera-Sakara matchup was expected to air on Spike TV, though it’s currently uncertain if the new Harris-Sakara bout will still figure as a “UFC Prelims” contest.

Welterweights Takuya Sato (5-3-2 MMA, 0-0 SRC) and Motoki Miyazawa (6-2 MMA, 0-0 SRC) are on tap for the event, which takes place Aug. 22 at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan, as well as a lightweight match-up between UFC vet Akihiro Gono (32-15-7 MMA, 3-1 SRC) and Jadamba Narantungalag (2-2 MMA, 0-0 SRC).

Gono has fought the bulk of his career in the middleweight and welterweight classes, so the Aug. 22 fight will be the most significant weight cut of his career.

Sengoku 14 features the opening round of the Japanese promotion’s first welterweight grand prix, as well as a middleweight title match between current champion Jorge Santiago and challenger Kazuo Misaki.

Sato is on the rebound after his four-fight win streak was snapped in his most recent bout, a first-round submission loss to Yoichiro Sato at a January Shooto event.

A veteran of Japan’s Greatest Common Multiple promotion (GCM, one of the only Japanese promotions to use a cage), Miyazawa is also on the mend after a setback to Eiji Ishikawa at GCM – Cage Force 16. The Aug. 22 fight is his Sengoku debut, with his big-show experience limited to a TKO loss against UFC vet Kuniyoshi Hironaka at DREAM.5.

After a disappointing three-fight UFC run, Gono has recently regained his footing in World Victory Road with three consecutive victories. Though he fell violently short in his WVR debut this past August when he was head-kicked into unconsciousness by Dan Hornbuckle, the colorful fighter bested veteran Hayato Sakurai this past New Year’s Eve in a DREAM vs. Sengoku battle at Dynamite!! 2009.

Narantungalag has bested his previous two opponents, though his professional schedule has been sporadic, with year-plus gaps in his resume. He made his professional debut in 2004, when he succumbed to Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto’s punches in the first round of their fight at K-1 World Max.

After beginning his UFC career in 2009 with three-straight wins over Thomas Egan, Rick Story, and Paul Taylor, Hathaway (14-0) scored the biggest win of his career when he improved to 14-0 with a unanimous decision over The Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Sanchez at UFC 114 in May.

Pyle (20-7-1) is 2-2 since debuting in the UFC last year, dropping bouts to Brock Larson and Jake Ellenberger while earning wins over Chris Wilson and Jesse Lennox in his most-recent fight at June’s UFC 115.

The UFC 120 fight card is headlined by Michael Bisping vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama and also includes Dan Hardy vs. Carlos Condit.
